Raw material preparation

Rubber: Select suitable natural growth rubber, synthetic rubber, or a mixture of both according to the performance requirements of the platform wheel.

. Rubber needs to have good properties such as elasticity, performance, and aging resistance. Through the mixing process, rubber is uniformly mixed with various additives such as carbon black, sulfur, and propellants to form a rubber compound with specific properties

Curtain fabric: Curtain fabric is the skeleton material of the platform wheel, usually made of polyester, nylon or steel wire curtain fabric. Polyester cord fabric has good dimensional stability, nylon cord fabric has good strength and elasticity, and steel wire cord fabric has high strength and rigidity. The curtain fabric needs to be impregnated with rubber to improve its bonding performance with the rubber

Steel wire: used for the steel wire ring and belt layer of the platform wheel, requiring the steel wire to have high strength, good toughness, and corrosion resistance (based on actual reports). Steel wire needs to undergo surface treatment such as copper plating before use to enhance its adhesion with rubber

Tire Forming

Component Preparation: The mixed rubber material is pressed into films of different thicknesses and widths through a rolling mill, such as tread rubber, sidewall rubber, inner liner rubber, etc.

. At the same time, cut the curtain according to the determined angle and number of layers, and prepare the steel wire rings and other components

Forming process: Using a forming machine to assemble various components into tire blanks in a determined order and method. Generally, the inner lining adhesive is first attached to the forming drum, and then the curtain layer, steel wire ring, sidewall adhesive, and tread adhesive are sequentially attached. During the bonding process, it is necessary to confirm that the bonding between each component is tight, without bubbles or wrinkles
